Linda asked us to use ovals on our cards today for the Ways to Use It Challenge and Kathy asked us to put our New Year's Resolutions into practice for the CAS challenge.I needed to make some cards for my mom's stash (I get to visit with her this weekend) and this quick card design popped into my brain. One of my goals is to make more CAS and easily mailed cards. I simply cut a smaller inside piece of Kraft paper and embossed my cherry blossoms. I scored right at the edge of this and also the Espresso frame I cut to put behind it. I also scored the base of my card. I sponged my scored edges and the blossoms lightly. I used a punch to cut an oval mask then sponged through the oval to create the frame for my sentiment-sponged in Crumb Cake stamped in Espresso. Simple, mostly flat, and mailable!
