Congratulations Claudia (cjzim) on becoming our newest featured stamper. I loved browsing through your wonderful gallery. Here is the card that inspired me Quiet Time I love the image Claudia used and I just happened to have the same stamp set. I have used this lovely image yet - today was the perfect opportunity to use it. I stamped the image with memento black ink and coloured with copic markers. Masked the image and sponged in the water. Made the small islands along the edge of the water. Sponged in the clouds. Used my aqua painter to created ripples in the water. Stamped on the sea gulls and sentiment with basic grey ink. Added stickles to the water. Made the frame = Used the Stampin up "Hardwood stamp". Stamped hardwood with brown ink. Cut out the frame - mitered the corners. Sponged around all edges of the frame. Framed the image. Added the black mini brades to the frame. Popped up the image. Completed the inside of the card.
I used the same image as Claudia, plus a woodgrain stamp.
Thanks for the inspiration. Enjoy your time in the spotlight.
This also works for this months fan club theme - All cooped up. I have used a woodgrain stamp.
Thanks for looking,
Hugs..Pat

Oh my gosh, this is outstanding, Pat! I absolutely love the way you created your frame for the image and your coloring is gorgeous. This is going straight into my faves as I never tire of this peaceful feeling image and I want to remember how you did the frame for it : )

I love the stunning watercolor background you added to this simple stamp. Your card is the anti- facet of All Cooped Up for me- when I feel that way, I want to head to the water!
