I had made several backgrounds when I was doing the one for the Free for All challenge yesterday. So when I saw the inspiration challenge for today I pulled them out and started looking at the pictures on our inspiration site and looking at the backgrounds to see if I thought one would work. This is the one that seemed to be perfect for a moonlight night scene. The only thing I enhanced on the background is the moon. There was a light spot in the background there so I took a wet brush, brushed it across my whisper white craft ink and made the light spot rounder and gave that area a few feathered clouds. The darker blackberry under the moon was already in the background. Then I stamped the scene in early espresso and painted in the deer in soft suede to cover the green that was showing through. I added a few touches of old olive grass around the deer's feet and that was it. I mounted it on soft suede first and then on a card base of old olive.

What a fabulous scene! I have to admit I've been scared to try this challenge. Your adaptation of your background is so successful! I love the moon/clouds you made. The stamped scenery is so bang on it looks like I could step right into it. Wonderful card!
