Here's my card for the Mixability challenge - static electricity - I interpreted that as fireworks. I used Brusho Crystal Colors for the 'fireworks' background. They are colored crystals and there are many ways to use them - I sprinkled Ultra Marine, Yellow, Brilliant Red and Emerald Green onto my white card stock and then spritzed them with water and dried it with my heat tool - and POOF! they became fireworks!
Then I sponged around all the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink to cover up all the white - and then masked off the center part and spritzed water over the black ink to create water spots. I didn't want to get any more water on the Brusho colors as it would water them down and blend all the colors together. The more water you use on them - the more they blend.
I embossed the City Scape die cut with Frantage Aged Silver Embossing powder and layered them onto the card with foam tape. I made tiny flags by die cutting some folded white tissue paper with the Fringe Border die from Memory Box. Then I shook the same colors of Brusho Crystals I used on the card, over the fringe, spritzed with water just once, dried it with my heat tool and cut two small pieces off (with 3 'fringe' each) I glued these little pieces onto the tops of two of the buildings as flags blowing in the wind. I adhered 2 crystal rhinestones on the edge of each flag. I used Idea-ology Label Letters for the sentiment.
