MariLynn's MIX challenge was to show static electricity. I found a photo of lightning to see exactly how it might look, sponged the blue background onto white CS and then, with a very fine pointed brush and white acrylic and water, painted on the lightning. Added the white "blob" for a focal point. I stamped the trees in gray and black and clear embossed....so this isn't an embossing resist.

I actually gasped when I saw this, followed by my jaw dropping!!! Sallie this is breathtaking....I wish I knew a lot more cool words. This is not just going into My Favs, but it is also going straight into my Best of 2015. Simply stunning!!!! I have seen many awesome lightening strikes, this is so authentic, it could be a photo!!

Sallie, WOW!!! I have never seen such a fantastic hand painted lightening strike! You are such a talented artist! I am shaking my head....we are all saying WOW!!! So glad you share your talent on here!!!

Sallie, this is truly amazing and a work of art. I am amazed at how realistic this looks. My, it looks like a photo taken on a stormy night. And I love what you call a white "blob"; obviously that is a lightning strike. Again, truly amazing!!!!!

The white blob you left on the background is perfectly placed so that the lightning burst is right on one of the trees as if it were struck by lightning. What a wonderful show of lightnings power you have created here!
