Sheri and Karen (redbugdriver) have given us a fun mission this week and that is to bring some smiles and laughter to fellow SCSr Pam aka bailmac.
Myrtle and Harry heard that Pam is recouperating following recent surgery. Having just retired from the Royal Flying Doctors, Mrytle and Harry thought they could fly over and check in on Pam. As you can see they are flying over shark infested waters and very rough sea. The trip is expected to take about 3 weeks unless they get held up in quarantine!!
The background was created by dragging the watercolour paper through a big puddle of very watered down acrylic paint, then I quickly threw on a handful of cous cous on the bottom half. Experience has taught me not to use a heatgun to speed up the drying process. I prepared this background last night so it has had a good 12 hours of drying time. I keep the cous cous in a container and reuse it over and over.
Myrtle, Harry and their seaplane were stamped on watercolour paper then coloured with distress inks, then fussy cut. I put little blobs of clear glue that dries shiny on the sea to look like water.
I hope by the time Pam recieves this she will be up and about and making more of her lovely cards. Thank you for looking.

Fun card and sure to bring smiles Susie, Love how your background turned out... I will have to try the watered down acrylic paint technique when I get settled again.

First off, I am honored that you took the time! This is hilarious! I can't wait to have it in my hands! Couscous? Who'd a thunk? I am going to have to add that to my craft room. Your bg is just wonderfully creative. I adore the personalized banner and hope they stay out of those shark infested waters. So blessed to have such terrific cyber friends! Thanks again.
