This is for HYCCT Another Year In the Books Challenge.
I guess this isn't necessarily my favorite children's story book. It was my son's when he was little...he is not so little any more. He LOVED anything having to do with fire trucks or fire men. At school they had made paper "Sparky" hats. We couldn't get him to take it off. Eventually fell apart, so we had to make him one out of fabric. Meanwhile, I ordered him a Scholastic Book from school. I believe the book is called Fire Truck! It is a storybook and song. However, we only had the storybook. Here is a Link: http://www.amazon.com/Sing-Read-Ivan...n+a+fire+truck. To this day we still recite pieces of this book to him. LOL!

that is such a fun story, I love that you paired the fire hydrant with the book page for the background a lot. my mama can still do the "how now brown cow" voice at me sometimes

This is fabulous. I just spent 10 minutes googling vintage book covers, somewhere in my head I can picture a classis children's book with a red fire hydrant. Your wonderful card and story have evoked so many memories. xx

Please don't take your organs to heaven - heaven knows we need them here.
Loved reading your story of your son and his love of fire men and trucks. Your card depicts your fond memories of his childhood. I am sure his too.
