I'm really getting into the Christmas card mode now and had such fun coloring this beautiful Holly Wreath image. Last year I had to fussy cut this image, but there is a brand new die for it that made it much easier. (But I still do love to fussy cut, hehe!!) I used an embossed and matted shape behind my wreath, and then I added a piece of Cherry Cobbler that was die cut and embossed. This older Stampin' Up DP worked perfectly, so I matted it and paper-pierced it (my DH chuckles each time, since he knows I love to pierce). The sentiment is actually from the Noel Ornament image that I inked only the word, "joy." I really like the flourishes on it, and I fussy cut a mat after punching it out. Added some pearls, popped it up, and it's done. Hope you like it, and thanks so much for taking a closer look!

Cheryl, I believe I saw this card on your blog and admired it then. I love the embossed panel behind the wreath and think it really frames the holly berries, the embossed horizontal panel (even the piercing *wink*) It's a beautifully balanced layout. Your coloring is always impeccable (love the touch of white on the berries). I'm getting in the Christmas card mood too. Your card has inspired me even more (she smiles).

Your colouring is amazing Cheryl! The bright rich green and reds of your wreath look so fresh. Your hand cutting of those mats is so precise! The thin borders really set the white panels off beautifully. ...and as many said that striped background paper was an inspired choice to back your piece. This is a lovely card!
