I started by printing the leaves on white cardstock and giving them a watercolor wash of ink. When they were dry, I dipped a small paintbrush in ink, held the brush over the leaves, and tapped the brush so the ink would splatter over them. I repeated that process for each color of ink refill I used. I scored double lines about 1.25" apart on the main panel of the card. I fussy cut the leaves and glued them to the panel, using the scored lines as a sort of frame. I added a quick sentiment and attached the panel to the card base.

Those leaves are great...I often spot speckled leaves like this when I'm out walking. I especially like the yellow one in the middle...really cool technique..thanks for the challenge!

Fantastic classic clean design! The splatter on the fallen leaves makes a very realistic look. This is a beautiful card and on top of that a great guy card too!
Thanks for a fun HYCCT challenge, Patricia. You certainly met your challenge with those fabulous fall leaves (with splatters). I have seen them just that way in real life.

I Love the way your paint brush ink turned out, Patricia, but if I attempted to do that, I would end up with blobs instead of nice little rounded dots! Beautiful looking on these leaves~
