I just couldnÂ’t see leaving this beautiful old church in a drawer until next Christmas so here it is for spring complete with flowering crabs, concolor firs and I even planted some flowers on each side of the door.
I used an aqua painter and pad ink for color. The grass is brush strokes, the sky is a pouncing motion and I also did this with the green in the flowering trees. The pink blossoms are from the Watercolor Minis. If you look close (it does show better in real life) the windows are colored to look like stained glass. The flowers by the door are added with markers; just barely touch the cardstock with a dot. I put some black lines on the steeple to fill in where the snow mound was. The dimensional flowers also have some detail added with the aqua painter and ink. I was having way to much fun heat curling that ribbon. The steeple is done with a metallic ink so it looks like copper. The trees in the far distance are the top only from the Stampendous image.
