This week's Teapot Tuesday is collecting cards to cheer up ConnieJo9, who used to come to the Teapot challenge pretty regularly. She's had a string of health issues and we want to brighten her mailbox.
This image seemed fitting on a number of fronts -- in the first place, it was a goodie I received in a Tickle from a fellow Teapotter. Secondly, it's funny and I hope it makes Connie smile; and thirdly, for all I know these gals come from the same farm that hatched our beloved Curt, who is Connie's cousin, or nephew or somehow related, seeing as his creator Mutnik is Connie's sister. The challenge said to use bright colors, and for me these are bright. I used colored pencils with a few details made by a silver spica gel pen. The flowers also came by way of a Tickle.
The background was created using this week's TLC technique -- wrapping something around a block and stamping with it. I used a pretty rough piece of twine, and made what is actually a nice herringbone pattern that has been covered up by the large image. You can see the block wrapped with twine in the lower right corner of the photo. The block is just a small ink pad.

Your twine looks pretty good afterwards too, Sandy! I love those hens, I have a couple of the other PB stamps but not that one. They all make me smile .

I love the technique you used for the background and all your little chicks. They look like they are having a good time and will keep each other smiling. I know they will make Connie smile also. Cute card.
