This was going to be a quick card for the CAS285 challenge. Thanks to the sweetest PM from one of the nicest people I know, Becky, I was reminded about a technique that I have only tried a few times...one syroke painting. Things were going just fine and I was almost done with my roses and leaves, when the elbow incident hsppened. In addition to my elbow, it also involved lavender paint (" lavender? You ask. She wasn't even using lavender. I have been asking myself the same question). Well, this resulted in having to fussy cut the roses and attach them to a new card. In normal situstions, I would not combine one stroke painting and fussy cutting. Then I watercolored the bkg because the roses just didn't look right fussy cut. I also added some shading with prisma pencils...how is that for a weird combination- acrylics, water color and prisma pencils. I stamped the word "love" and drew a border and stopped before I made any more goofs. Some say that necessity is the mother of invention. I would and that blobs, smudges and spills are the mother of creativity. TFL, Francie

Oh my goodness Francie, my jaw just hit the floor!! This is absolutley beautiful. There must be something about us 29th of June babies...one mishap after another LOL. I am so gald you had an 'elbow incident', this card was always going to be beautiful, but now it is a masterpiece. Can I order this on an 10' x10' canvas Francie?

I saw this card yesterday, Francie, and wanted to come back and comment. I have days like this "all" the time! *giggling* I start out one way, then detour another. But... with that said, each step you took in "your" detour lead to a beautiful design in the end. The watercolored background is just lovely, your image is fussy cut to perfection, AND I always like to add a little Prismacolor pencil when I'm done just for added depth. You created a wonderful card!

WOW! This is GORGEOUS! What a beautiful "incident" save! I love that you fussy cut it and placed against such a beautiful background - it looks like it just belonged there all along! Your one-strike painting is fabulous. Pinned and fav'd!
