So happy that the FS challenge was up Saturday night. It gave me the excuse to spend time in my craft room! I loved looking through Karren's gallery and quickly picked out two cards to CASE. This is the first and I'll be back tomorrow with the other one. I used Karren's On the Diagonal as my inspiration. Rather than strips of paper to create the idea of a diagonal, I got out an old PTI stamp set and used the "thinking of you" sentiment. Karren's card used a faint dictionary bg stamp. Since I already used text, I pulled out a polka dot bg stamp and masked the center sentiment panel before stamping. The "hello", flowers, leaves, rhinestones, and even the red paper were scraps or discards on my desk! 12 things down, a zillion more to go to clear off my desk!!
Thanks for the inspiration Karren and enjoy your week.

I love this card! The colors are fabulous and that beautiful big "hello" is such a stand-out in black. Thanks so much for joining in the fun. I'm still on Cloud 9

I'm so impressed that you used scraps off of your desk for this fab card! I like how you've created your own text strip and used it on the diagonal - it creates a bg with a message without detracting from the large "hello"! Wonderful CASE!
