This is my card for the Ways to Use it #483 Challenge. This was to use Twine, Thread, string etc, but no ribbon. I used a piece of red variegated embroidery Floss and it worked like a charm. I used one piece and made it go two directions.
I stamped and cut out the three flowers & glued a snap on each one with Glue Dots from Office Depot.
Oh I forgot my background. The ladies in my stamping group are going to experiment with Faux Silk made with a napkin. I have asked them to all bring a pretty dinner napkin - and in case that doesn't happen, I have a few samples of other things they can use - just to show them the technique.
With this card, I now have a sample of Faux Silk made with a piece of brown wrapping paper. Works for me.

That space-dyed floss looks gorgeous, Carol. And oh my - using snap fasteners (is that what you call them over there?) for the flower centres is brilliant. I love that idea .

That is so funny, I recently used snaps for a card and I haven't done that for years now here is your card!!! (I haven't uploaded mine yet, the 15th). Anyway, it makes me crack up!! Great minds...
Well, they make great flower centers, I never would have thought of that!! Fun card!

AWESOME CAS card! Love the crinkled bkgrd and the way you wrapped the twine. The flowers w/the snap centers look neat. Reminds me that I haven't used snaps for quite a while.
