Trish chose Ann(Dockside) as the new queen for this week. Ann has a terrific gallery with many beautiful cards. She is also a stamper that leaves well thought-out comments to encourage and compliment other SCSers. Since I'm more "inspired by" than actual "CASE-er", I chose this CARD for its color which reminded me of a watermelon and its layout. Turning her lovely spring card into one for summer.
Jeanne's F4A was to use things from our stash that tend to linger there. The gingham ribbon is one of mine. Have rolls of ribbon and seldom use them on my cards anymore......get crushed in mailing and get "tired" looking as bows, etc after awhile. The other "stashed" item is the grunge stamp that I used to make watermelon's stripes in the bg. I think the grunge stamps look so neat when I see them, but then rarely use them......could be that I'm not too good with the grunge style. : )
A BIG CONGRATS, Ann. Your work is beautiful, you are a most kind person....a WELL-deserved honor. Enjoy!!

I too thought the background was a dp! Brilliant use of the grunge stamp to make watermelon skin! Beautiful painting of the watercolour stamp - I'm so glad I bought a watermelon when grocery shopping as your card makes me want some!

How smart of you to make your own watermelon background! I immediately thought it was designer. Great colors too. Your card is just lovely. I love how you colored your main image, great job!

Just got back from grocery shopping and passed over the watermelons. Now I feel like running back and picking one up. Is there anything more guilt free than eating watermelon? I love the way you morphed my spring card into summer! A very proper progression that! As others have said, that background paper you produced is wonderful and I love the touch of gingham ribbon. Your comments have made me blush Miss Sallie. Very much appreciated!

Your grungy watermelon bg is Fabulous, Sallie! Love the beautifully colored main image with just the right amount of yellowish color like true watermelons have!
