I don't have any of today's color challenge colours, so I had to substitute some Ranger Distress inks - mixed a pink and light orange to try for a canteloupe color, and just used the greens that I had.
The image is watercolored (first layer sprayed with water to let ink spread), splattered and then I added some stamped splat images in various places. I snuck a little bit of brown in there with the butterfly! The sentiment is done in script calligraphy with Pelikan 4001 black ink and a dip nib - still needing practice with those things.

Wow! This is fabulous, Bridget! You HAVE to be the only one who knows why you need practice with the calligraphy -- to the rest of us, it looks like you are a pro!

This is probably one of the prettiest watercolors I have EVER seen. Over the top amazing! I loved reading about every step and when I got to the part where you write about the sentiment I exclaimed out loud! It ROCKS!!!!Your colors on this are so beautifully put together and your splatters and pointalism (sp?) are inspired. This definitly should be framed. I was out of breath from racing this into my favorites and onto my Pinterest board! Oh so very lovely...sigh
