I started out trying to use a new spray on a different card. I sprayed through my stencil-had a lot of spray left on the stencil so I laid that down onto my card stock and then used a foam brush to add grey Gesso through the stencil. I intended to use the sketch right side up so if you look closely at the dp you can see that the print is upside down. I tried really hard to get my suns rays to line up with the angle of the angled piece on the sketch, but just couldn't make it work and couldn't get it to look right without extra rays in other directions. I had stamped my sentiment directly onto the cs, but smeared it, so I reinked only the sentiment again with my marker and stamped onto a white piece. I punched this and then used the marker around the edges for extra definition. I cut the scallop in grey with my tasteful trims die. I didn't like the sun bare, so I grabbed the same stencil and sponged some Crushed Curry through it.

What a clever design! Love how you combined the yellow and the gray to match the sentiment! Very pretty!

I really like this. I thought your spraying sponging through the stencil was part of the sketch. So I thought the stenciled sketch was your angle and your sun was just extra special :-). I love how it turned out!!!

That's awesome! I want that sentiment I got a giggle reading your write up as I have done exactly that so so many times. Some days it's amazing I can get a card together!
