For today's WT: Trees & FS Jean (JKanack). Now I know she was FS a few weeks back, and I wanted to case this gorgeous card: WT422 a window of sympathy by jkanack at Splitcoaststampers so badly since I had just received this stamp set, but I got cold feet. So today when Linda said to use trees on your card, I knew I had to take the plunge and just do it! I took a deep breath and went for it! My card isn't exactly what I thought it would be since I've never done the acrylic block bg. (The color comes out much darker than when stamped.) Anyhow, Jean, your gallery is such a fun one, and I hope you enjoyed your royal week! I added the black layer for matting and so I could stamp the trees in white using white ep for a deeper white. For the black trees I stamped off some of them to get different shades. I ended up using a sponge to "color" the bottom half of the card so it wouldn't be as drastic. (smiling) So out of my comfort zone, but I'm ok with it. Thanks for stopping by today! ~Roberta

Roberta, how lovely of you to go back in time and add to my FS gallery. I'm honored more than I can say. Your creation is wonderfully awesome and as all said, you will love this set. You did fabulous work! That's just the sort of winter card that I love.

What a wonderful winter night scene, Roberta! I really like the shadowy effect of the stamped-off trees and your amazing blue sky. I usually find my acrylic block stamping comes out blotchy and patchy rather than looking like a lovely piece of watercolour!

I love the background! It's gorgeous with those beautiful trees! I'm going to have to look up that technique!
