oh lovin' all this weeks Rainbow challenges...here's a super quick card for my size 12 son! Aren't these Converse chevron shoes just perfectly original and right on trend? Seems like shoe obsessions are genetic! I remember 'testing' my DH when we were dating by telling him I had 90 pairs of shoes...he didn't flinch! Well, I've paired down those shoes over the decades, but I still have a 'thing'...and son &D, well really Sam too. I get emails with links to shoes they've seen online that they 'like'...thank goodness for Zappos outlet site.
The shoe was cut from a catalog direct to paper. I stamped the quote by John Mason in the chalkboard style embossing it with Candy Turquoise ep. It was tiny stapled to a slightly larger die cut rectangle. The top has a measuring tape strip with the #12 highlighted in &D's favorite color...oh those tiny baby feet...no more!
Thanks for stopping by, I'd totally love to vicariously live in your shoes stories, if you are so inclined!!!

Well aren't you the clever one Susan, finding the perfect shoe to cut out and put on this fabulous card. LOVE the sentiment and the way you did it. The tape measure with the appropriate #12 highlighted is genius. Fab-O card my friend. Love it......now about shoes.
My closet floor is full of shoes. In fact the sliding door bows out! I am always on a search to find the perfect shoe. One that looks good and feels good and doesn't hurt my feet. Needless to say, I have many many many shoes that do NOT fit that description. SO every once in awhile I have to bag up a few for donation and swear I won't do it again,....stock pile shoes that is. hehe Such is life. :0)

Fabulous card!!! I'd wear those shoes in a heartbeat, I'm kind of a funky shoe freak! My DH is actually shocked if I go shopping and DON'T come home with a pair of shoes! Or purse. Or watch.

My shoe story is sad.....I wore 4" heels all my adult life. Usually suede. In pretty much every colour imaginable, including peacock blue. Then I was diagnosed with plantar faciitis. I can remember the doctor saying.....Jo your days of wearing high heels are over. She was right. I wear orthodics and 'sensible' shoes now. Sigh.
Your card is cute and clever!!

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
