We had a sad story this week about a Korean lady, Wha Ok Nam from Leesville LA. I hope our cards can bring some sunshine to her day. Fran aka Philsmom, has educated us with a lovely Korean poem about water, stone, bamboo, pine and the moon.
I checked out a few tutorials here at SCS about brayered skyÂ’s. Unfortunately my brayer had bits of molding paste stuck to it. Remember the hole in the wall incident; well I tried smoothing out the molding paste on the wall with my brayer and obviously I didnÂ’t clean it properly. Never mind, I moved on to Plan B.
Plan B was using good old distress ink sponging. I used a post-it-note mask for the moon and then sponged ink like a mad woman possessed. I added a few itty bitty spots of glitter to look like stars and some silver ink on the tree to look like frost. I didnÂ’t have any Scripture so I hope Thinking of You is ok.
It is good to be back, I was away with DH last week so I missed the New York teaparty, all the cards were terrific. I took a heap of little digi images away with me so I could fussy cut in preparation for future teaparties. I must have been in holiday mode because I amputated 8 arms, 5 legs and sadly two heads got chopped off at the neck. I personally did not suffer any injuriesÂ…yay!!
Being a good little crafter who never throws anything out, I collected all the amputated body parts and I made a tiny little box and labeled it accordingly. I am confident that I can reattach said body parts when I put them on cards.
Have a terrific week everyone and thank you for looking.

Amazing colors in the sky on this card. It was unfortunate about your brayer, but plan B turned out so well. Your card has a very calm, restful feel to it. So very beautiful.
