We had a terrific story this week about Willamena the Chocolatier and the forthcoming chocolate convention. Our challenge is to bring chocolate; white, brown, black, mild or wild. Personally I think chocolate should a “food group” and I ate many, many chocolates whilst making this card.
Our teaparty is for 80 year old Rita LeClaire, the mum of SCS Gingerbeary8 aka Carol. I hope our cards lift RitaÂ’s spirits.
I was really stumped to know what to do this week so I resorted to my trusty stair step card. There are two sets of steps, it is hard to see in the photo but there is floral wall paper on the steps behind each window. Both windows have acetate, the arched window was a bit tricky. The little sign is made with a die from a sewing theme die set.
The shutter was a very last minute decision; it was the only thing large enough to cover up the big gaping hole in the wall. You see, I had made a little Sassy Cheryl digi girl, I called her Lottie. I stuck Lottie on and wasnÂ’t quite happy with her posture so I went to remove her. Unfortunately in this warm weather everything dries super quick, what normally would have peeled off easily was coming off in chunks. Little LottieÂ’s head was strongly adhered to the wall as were her little feet. The other part that was attached to the wall was this funny kidney shaped piece of cardstock. That actually made me laugh as I have often said it would be easier to donate a kidney than to do a CAS card. It looks like Lottie agrees with me.
Unfortunately there was no time to reincarnate little Lottie so she was replaced with a shutter, a tree and a circular sign.
Thank you for looking and have a great week everyone.

As always, your little scene is just so sweet and so perfect with all the personalised details down to the date the chocolate shop was established. And - with a bicycle to work the calories off, who's going to worry about how much chocolate they eat at the tasting . Using a cotton-reel die for the shop sign is pure genius. Hmmm, not sure it would work with mine which is Tim Holtz and consequently a bit distressed looking. But an inspired idea!!

Oh my goodness, Susie, you little chocolate shop is so "over the top" CUTE! The establishment sign (using math I am sure to get the date right) and the tasting sign will draw crowds, I am sure. Poor Lottie!! I was in stitches reading about your dilemma with removing her - a kidney transplant is easier - Bwahahahah! - Love how your bicycle die is parked outside too - good for riding off the calories after a visit to the store!! CLASSIC SUSIE!!

So Lottie's remains are behind the shutter? So clever of you to conceal her with the perfect addition to your chocolate shoppe! Once again you have created a wonderful whimsical scene that tugs at my heart strings! I want to go in and buy chocolates, especially the dark kind!
