This is one of those "I made it so I'm uploading it" cards...
It is SO not what I imagined when I started!
In the morning I saw this Ottoman Blossom shower curtain. Those circles definitely reminded me of dryer sheet flowers! I don't like the smell of dryer sheets though, and I wanted to make something small so I just used punched circles of card, and stamped the flourish from Carte Postale for the background. Then it didn't look like a flower at all, but made me think of this Peacock Feather paper guest towel.
So, I put away my swirly embossed base layer, and used a Fiskars texture plate inked with Bundled Sage as a stamp for my base layer. I added the feather from Flourishes in Smokey Grey, stamped off once to keep it low key, and the Verve sentiment. Coloured the feather with pencils, and since everything still looked a bit flat I added Stickles to my erstwhile flower. I guess the museum of Oriental Art that I visited on Tuesday somehow penetrated my subconscious more than I thought!!

Oh, I am glad you uploaded. We have all had those emotions, only because it is not what we initially planned. I think this is amazing and perfect for your combined inspirations, TFS.
