It's the Journey alright and I think I learned a few things today. One was not to give up. The IC was to be inspired by the Integrity Graphics site. I immediately found one I LOVED here
I love it so much that it was the only one I picked today - different for me, but then I tried to duplicate it. Sorry! It didn't work and never will, but I tried a lot of things I have not tried before.
I painted the CS with 4 different warm acrylic colors. Then I added a black splotch and put it through the brick wall embossing folder painted with black paint for grout. Dried it off (again) and added some orange and yellow reinkers to highlight. It wasn't enough and I was about to pitch it, but decided to try the Spellbinders leaf die dipped in gold embossing powder. I liked it so stamped the Inkadinkado sentiment with VersaMark and heat embossed it with gold.
I am happy because I have warm colors on this and can use it for the MIX52 which I rarely get to do. And besides that, I really like it. I hope you do too.

I am puzzled why you were not happy with that fabulous brick background! I love it and love how you use that folder! Love the idea of the gold embossing on the black leaf. Fabulous card!
