For this week's MMTPT279 challenge, to bring red roses. I often forget about this Flourishes stamp - luckily I'd been tidying my clear stamps on Saturday and had it fresh in my memory. A quick card, since life is too busy just now.
For the base, I stamped the Books in Sepia, added some brown pencil to darken the wooden shelves and then sponged with a couple of browns. Script stamped over it in Smokey Grey. I added the ribbon and Dizzy Border (cut from white card, sponged with Antique Linen). Rose stamped on watercolour paper and sponged with Scattered Straw, then coloured with distress inks and finished off with some Stickles. It's layered on a Lacy Circle cut from green card and finished off with Liquid Pearls. I decided to add an encouraging sentiment since Jan says this is her cousin's second bout with cancer. We can always keep fighting, right up to the end.

Sabrina, this is a real beauty! So warm with the colours you used. Love how you did the background and then added the ribbon and border punch. The liquid pearls add a touch of elegance. The rose is stunning. TFS
