I have to say that this is TOO CAS for me, and I might jazz it up a bit before sending it out. But Birgit's MIX38 challenge today calls for CAS Mixed Media, so this is what I came up with.
Book page stuck to thin card, gessoed and cut with IO dies. Birds painted over with red H2Os. The base is just silver paint dabbed on very lightly with a stencil/stipple brush.
Had to smile when I saw one of Birgit's samples because I got that set yesterday, and had half intended it to go into a friend's Christmas package. But the sentiment was so perfect for this card that I had to break it out.

Gorgeous, absolutely wonderful! Love the use of the book page for the birch trees, it looks just like bark at first glance and then the printing is visible - very cool effect. As for adding something to this card, give it a try but I'm guessing you will decide that this version is perfect as-is! Congrats on being a CAS Fav of the Week!
