This was my last card design as Guest Designer for Sweet n Sassy Stamps during their August Release. Since then I've been asked to stay on in a "more permanent" basis. Yay!
My last card uses the large inspirational sentiment stamp, His Peace. I've used Gelatos for a emboss resist effect. Such a soft and beautiful way to create with color don't you think? And, in my humble opinion, anything that has the word, "gelato" in it has to be good ~ right? I stamped my sentiment right on my Nestabilities 5x7 Detailed Scalloped Frame in Versafine Onyx Black ink and applied little crystals on the flourish. The panel on the left was stamped with Ranger Emboss It (clear) and heat embossed with Zing White Opaque Finish. Next came the fun part *wink* I rubbed on some pink and lavender Gelatos *sigh* until I got the desired effect. Some dark purple ribbon on an angle with a lighter lavender (almost looks like light blue in the photo) placed on top. A sweet little bow with a crystal heart charm and some lavender Prisma baby roses. The card is a 5x7 with a top open and the corners rounded at the bottom.
The sentiment is beautiful. For me it's the laying down of a burden, a fear, letting go of control, forgiving, and learning to love again in an unconditional way. With each step of obedience, no matter how small, I learn to Rest in His Peace, and a heart is reborn again.
