*** Edited because I got home from my aunt's in time to add the strips of leaf trim that make this fully fit the sketch challenge. I think I was frazzled last night with the ongoing saga of DH's puncture - even less fun on a motorbike with no spare wheel than in a car!!)
My title is because I think the sentiment panel is like a dripping wet grey day! It was inspired by this Grayscale wallpaper, and is also for yesterday's MIX31 challenge.
It's based on the current ODBD sketch challenge. I was sorry I didn't have time to follow last week's great sketch - and I only have time for this one because DH has had a puncture and is going to be 4 hours later than he estimated in getting home - on a borrowed motorbike. I'm trying not to snack on sweet treats before he gets home for dinner and stamping was a good option! I missed one element of the sketch, even though it was my starting point :-(. I meant to add some green ribbon for the vertical strips. If I have time later today I'll add them and submit it to the challenge.
A2 base. White card, embossed with Kassie's Brocade ef inked with Tattered Rose, then sponged with Shabby Shutters, and round the edge with Salty Ocean.
Bluebird stamped on 90lb watercolour paper, coloured with distress inks and cut out. Sizzix dogwood die, SNSS lace border.
Sentiment panel was stamped with IO's Kaleidascope in Memories Soft Grey, then I stamped the sentiment and then I dripped Perfect Pearls mist down it. Should have stamped the sentiment last, as I had to go over it where the mist had dripped over it. It's scored top and bottom.
Edge of card swiped with Versamark and embossed with gold EP.
