This week our cards are headed off to Canada and a good friend of fellow Teapotter Vicki, aka Vickydee. Marie has been so very ill this year, spending a good amount of time in the hospital. Marie is in great need of some Teapotter cheering.
I totally went off theme, which was to be hospitality, wine, food, and romance. Here I am right smack in the middle of wine country, and I don't drink wine! Korbel Winery is about 10 - 15 miles from me, and I've never been there. Shameful! Oh, I've driven past it hundreds of times, but I've never stopped for a tasting. And wouldn't you know, Marie's last name is Champagne!
I'm doing something totally different here, with this card that has a Tilting aperture. At least that's what it's called in the Paper Embroidery book by Joke De Vette. It took awhile to get this technique correct.
In the card base you cut a smaller hole than the part that is inserted. To do this on this card, I cut the smaller oval and used the larger one to outline where I needed to enlarge. It's not the full size of the larger die. Does that make sense?
In the card base you put a slit at the top and bottom of the cut out, on the insert, you put a slit at the top and bottom to match up with the cut out. The larger piece has the embroidery and is inserted into the smaller cut out aperture. Thus, the insert tilts back and forth from front to back.
On the back I have stamped Thinking of you.
I have embossed the card base with my new 6x6 ef, I love this new size.
I had the bow already made and just lying around, it was perfect for this card.
Since my colors match closely to the Color Challenge colors, I'm also putting this into that challenge. I love two fer's that I don't have to think about.
The inside has a MS punched panel that shows when the front is tilted.
I hope this card brings a fair amount of cheer to Marie!

How could anyone not love this card?!! You are so talented Jennifer!! Not only is the embroidery type work gorgeous in itself, but then you went and made a special tilt card. You bring a lot of love and care to others.
