Sandy(stampingwriter) was chosen by Trish to be the Queen this week. Sandy has a lovely gallery and provided inspiration for me for a graduation card. I chose this CARD with its stars and circle elements....I left off the mummy cat and broom. : )
I used the wax paper resist technique from BarbieP and used the idea Jennifer(mother's daughter) gave me in her comments yesterday to use Kraft CS. I did add sponged inks, but her idea gave me a lovely base. Thanks, Jennifer.
PearlX gold powder was brushed on to give the effect of a nebula after my sponging was done, but before I stamped and embossed the golden stars.
Congratulations, Sandy........enjoy your special week.

An awesome sky and star card! Great job, Sallie!

Sallie, this is fantastic. Love Jennifer's idea of doing this technique on kraft, but I also like how you added color as well. Love this new stamp set, and the sentiment is perfect for the graduate. Wonderful card.
