How exciting, the teaparty this week is in England and our guest of honor is Pat. I'm on a roll this week, I have already mailed the card!
This is a stair step card with a slight difference. I put steps on both sides of the card instead of just one side. I punched a Martha Stewart border and glued it on to the center panel, this is supposed to represent a bridge (ok I'm not an engineer, so work with me here). I used a window die to make the facade of a pub. I had trouble getting the pieces out of the top of window so I left them in and used lots of distress ink and a touch of Memento ink (London Fog...LOL) to make it look old. I put acetate on the windows. If you look straight through the windows you can see two cyclists on the back road. The pub only has a front window, no walls or roof, but we have already established I am not an engineer.
Pat loves flowers so I added a wrought iron fence and wrapped a some flowers around it. The otherside side-step has an english gentleman, complete with brolly looking at a tree and Big Ben. I forgot to mention that I also embossed the card. I didn't have a cobblestone EF, but this looks pretty close, I gently swished some silver ink across the squares to look more authentic.
I had heaps of fun making this card for Pat. Thank you for looking.

This is fabulous! Love everything on it. You need to find a way to share it with TH - he would flip over it. I haven't done a card with this shape in three years, but I am seriously thinking about trying one again after seeing this seriously wonderful creation. She is going to cherish this one! Love it!

You do create the most fun and fabulous step-style cards! It certainly shows that you had fun making this one. I love all the details, and the great Victorian feel it has. TBH I think the "pub" window probably looks even better with the little bits still in it than it would if you'd poked them all out. What a super-special card this is.

You have certainly hit one out of the park with your wonderfully creative mind! What a charming "English" story this two sided step card tells... every element well thought out and delightful! I especially enjoyed your post and the telling of the making of this amazing piece of artwork made me smile.
