Happy Monday, March Monochromatic Madness that is! What a fun challenge, Judy. Sometimes I am just amazed at where my latest art thud comes from, anyone else like that???? The seed of this card actually arrived in my mailbox, the latest Rejuvenation catalog. I am still on the mailing list from remodeling our home 3 years ago...but as I was thumbing through the pages, I fell in love with this pendant light called the McCoy. And I could maybe use it on a card someday. Later Saturday, I had a chance to browse in one of my favorite shops where I 'happened' to see a poster with this Elizabeth Barrett Browning quote. Now to say a lightbulb moment went off in my head...you'd probably laugh, but that's exactly what happened!
And while my hand stamped letters are all a bit wonky~unlike the poster, I rather like imperfections. It reminds me that living is glorious in all it's twists and turns and mess~ups!
I used five shades of yellow with my quote underlined with Copic Lightening Yellow, yellow metallic staples, Basic Gray Origins yellow graph paper, Bazill lemon yellow orange peel base, and E B Browning in TH's Mustard Seed distress ink. The McCoy pendant was fancy cut, the shade and lightbulb was embossed with UTEE.
I appreciate the time you give in comments. I hope your day is well lit!

Susan, you a girl of my own heart. Imperfection is not a curse like so many people like to think. It just makes us all the more creative!!!!! Love this card!!!! I know you are lighting today wherever you are. Whoa, I love how creative you were with those staples!!!Your work is always de*light*ful.

Wow! This is special. You have perfect placement of the staples and they fit really well on this card. And I LOVE the way you create. We have light bulb moments around here too. Sometimes they come out of someone's roadside garbage. hee Did I say I love your card.

This is terrific. The light reaching outside the frame, and the quote were just waiting for you to put them together like nobody else could. I would prefer wonky any day to sterile.

i love how you find inspiration in everyday things. i try to be that way too. i like the rather industrial look of this creation (and I would hang that pendant lamp in my home).
