As I browsed the Inspiration Challenge website for this week "Wedding Bells", I came across these lovely blue "DIY Accordion Paper Hand Fans." GASP!! Do you know I'm obsessed with accordion-fold, fan-fold everything?? I AM. Obsessed. Period. The end, no further explanation can make it clearer!! LOL!!!
I loved the blue and white of the inspiration piece, but I "had" to embellish and punch my final product. Even though it doesn't look like it, it was the Hand Fan item that inspired my creation! (See, my "creation" is also blue and white and it's a fan fold thing!)
But -- I have no idea what this thing is exactly that I made. It's not a card. It's not a fan. It is just inspired. Don't judge. I love making these fan things. What can I say?
I have posted step by step pics on my blog! if you're interested and have any ideas what I could use these for or what they might be! LOL!! I hope you'll visit and let me know your ideas!!
Thanks for looking!

Anne, this is such fun! Who cares what it's for!!! I still have HOT flashes after 17 years, so if HOT flashes are in your future, there's your reason for making a fan.
I knew right away what had inspired you. Now you have to go back and find another inspiration for a card for DH! Happy Anniversary my friend, and Happy New Year too.

How cool is this! On your blog you said that you don't have an anniversary card -- but you do. Your fan says "thanks so much" -- it could be "thanks so much for 24 happy years" !!!

Oh, it's gorgeous! I can definitely see the inspiration piece in your ... uh, your ... ornament! Or place card. Or decoration! I love the heart border and pretty colors.

Very cool, and very pretty!! I could totally see one of these sitting in the middle of each dinner plate at a beautiful dining setting! Maybe you could stamp peoples names on them.

What a lovely fan! Doesn't matter what you call it, I love it, Anne! I've always loved paper fans and yours is wonderful w/ the vintage colors and punched edge.
