You've got to check out the gallery of this week's queen Loll Thompson and play along to honor Loll QFTD130... Our New Queen is.... Loll Thompson by TrishG at Splitcoaststampers There is so much inspiration in her gallery that I couldn't limit myself to one card of hers so I took the basic layout of this one Happy Birthday, Frances by Loll Thompson at Splitcoaststampers with the die cut flourish with hydrangeas and the color scheme (which is right up my alley) from these beauties Coneflowers En Francais by Loll Thompson at SplitcoaststampersConeflowers - TLC346 by Loll Thompson at Splitcoaststampers. I started with a marker technique from today's Ways to Use it Challenge to use markers in a technique. I used a modified Smackin' Acetate where I used several neutral markers and spritzed with water then dunked my Crumb Cake cs in, dried it then dunked again. For the main front piece I then overstamped with Script in Soft Suede, tore the edges and sponged with Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Early Espresso. I ran a piece of Early Espresso through the big shot with the Distressed Texturz plate for a wood grain then die cut it with Flourishes 10 and 11. I punched my Regal Rose cs with the MS Hydrangea punch and sponged the edges with the same. I curled the petals slightly with my piercing tool and added tiny pearl centers. I used a Circles Nestability die to cut out the circle and used a double layer of Stampin' dimensionals to pop this over my base that I also used the marker technique on. I added a piece of chunky twine to this then glued my flourishes and flowers around the edge of my circle.
