This is my thrid ( I know....I've gone crazy) card for the FS289 honoring Maureen aka mamamostamps; I was inspired by this precious Miss You! card found here: Miss you! by mamamostamps at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the same basic layout and birdhouse and branch theme but changed the theme to Christmas and changed the color combination. I've been wanting to see if I could add pine sprigs to the MFT Branch to create a winter limb of evergreen. I like how it turned out especially the snow on the branch and the tips of the pine. I used Liquid Applique and tapped it lightly with my finger to move itaround and to flatten to avoid the dreaded blobs when heating. I used two or three layers on the branch area as my brown ink kept coming through and making the snow look dirty. LOL! I especially like how soft and pretty it ooks on the pine sprigs. I made the birdhouse by hand using my sqare punches and deckle scissors. The snowflakes/stars are the negative from the ornament border. I love how it turned out. What a DELIGHTFUL winter scene. I love the cheery red birdhouse (made by hand no less!!!!) hugn with twine and your branch with pine bough ROCKS!!!! I can see a case coming on by several...myself included! What a great idea and your snow turned out perfect! I had to laugh about you having to do your snow over because it looked dirty...if people could only see some of the things we go through to get the idea that is in our head out on paper! This card is FABULOUS!!!
