A sympathy card is one of the hardest to make. Especially if its needed, and not just to hve one on hand. My husbands late wifes mom just passed away. such a blessing was at home in her sleep, and she was tired and hurting so was a good thing. It will be hard for Pa they were married for 66 years...wow. Even tho it was thier daughter that passed away and my DH remarried they through the years still treated us like family totally, and we always called them ma and pa..:0). So this is for Pa.
so hard to do a mans sympathy , I have enough trouble with normal mens cards. I just could not decide on a color...didnt want it bright and cheery or too dull and boring...soooo went with the soft greens. hope he likes it..:0)
I cut out the sentiment and sponged the one edge in a soft green and followed it with a black to darken it a bit, and then sponged the tips black as well. traced the one die cut and used a black one behind for a shadow. Added the flowers, leaves and pearls. and could not find any black brads or pearls so just punched out 2 little circles...lol..kind of worked. sponged the flower tips in back a touch too. Had the underside better, but just when finished found a smudge so turned it over and did the other side, so not showing as much as chickened out to not get too much again..lol.
anyways have a super day and thanks for visiting..:0)

I am sorry you needed to make a sympathy card, but it really is very nice card! The colors are simply perfect for a guy! And the pearls and flower are a great touch - they look perfect on there. Thanks for sharing!

What a terribly hard loss for Pa, though I think this lovely soft green card will comfort him, knowing how you care will mean a lot to him. The colors are perfect!!
