The sketch for today featured circles. I even went further by adding a coin charm rather than the rectangular "sentiment" panel. I was inspired to do an Asian card by the magnificent Chinese Lantern Festival that is being held at the Missouri Botanical Garden this summer. At night, it is breath-taking.

Added note: Some of you have expressed interest in the Festival. Thought you might like to see photos of 2 of the 26 lanterns. They are all very large scale. HERE is a link to one of my favorites. At night the dragons' heads move and blow smoke while the ball turns in the middle. Another FAVORITE looks like thousands of precious gems...there is a matching dragon on the other side.

Fabulous design...your fish are the perfect focal point for this elegant card. I love how the two circles look edged in gold..it gives another design dimension to this Asian inspired card. Love it!

What a lovely Asian card, Sallie. I love your coloring and shading on the koi fish, and the EF you used is a perfect fit for this design. And the charm is fantastic. Once, again, I have a soft spot for Asian - and you understand TFS.

Sallie this is beautiful. I love the embossed piece. Your simplicity is such a compliment to the Asian theme. Love how you did the Koi. This is a lovely card.
