For today's Ways To Use It challenge---masculine cards.
I made this for my dad for Father's Day. There's nothing special about this card, it's simple and unadorned, but this image looks so much like my childhood that it could be a snapshot of me and my brothers.
My dad (and my mom too) was always taking us fishing. I can still remember my dad hauling my brothers and me to Douthat State Park every spring break for the opening day of trout season. We used to have competitions---who caught the first fish, who caught their limit first, who caught the biggest...stuff like that. And I would just like to say that even though the little girl in the stamp isn't fishing, I LOVED fishing and most often I would catch my trout limit first on opening day ;o) Made my brothers so mad! Such nice memories. I hope my dad likes it.
Thanks for looking and listening to my ramblings

Well, I think this card is absolutely gorgeous. I know it is a manly card - but I still think it is gorgeous. I love that image and your coloring is perfect. Love your choice of DP's too. It just flows together so well. Your DD will love this.

I LOVE silhouette images & this one is sooooo cute!!! So easy & simple! Who would've thought that unadorned & simple would be so perfect?! I'm sure your father will love it!! Great job...TFS!!

I have to disagree with you on one point. There is definitely something special about this card. It caught my eye immediately, then touched my heart when I read your wonderful memories. And as for the the girl not fishing, you have simply caught your limit and am waiting for your brothers!!

Nothing special? Unadorned? This card is breath taking in it's simple beauty, and your memories are more beautiful than any bauble you could add. Your work touched my heart and gave me fond memories as well. I think your card is more than special, thanks so much for sharing your heart.
