FEBVSN challenge mosaic madness. I absolutely love blue & white together, so I immediately thought of dutch blue & white tiles. I should have used UTEE, but already had reg. EP on it & was running out of time, so I went with that. I had trouble getting a good picture, because of the reflection, but I finally got one that worked.
The main image is stamped in brilliant blue and then I used my aqua painter to spread the ink a bit to color the image. To make the tiles, I stamped floral in brilliant blue and cut it into small squares, then arranged them (in no particular order) around the stamped larger image. Some of the squares needed to be trimmed to fit. I then coated the entire piece with versamark and clear embossed. This is then matted with brilliant blue.

Question: To get such beautiful results, I assume you heat embossed each tile seperately. How do you hold on to them while embossing? My tweezers always seem to ruin the finish when I hold a piece of cardstock. Or did you use chipboard that wouldn't blow away?
This is so incredibly beautiful!! I tried to mimic it, but I used a different stamp and I didn't emboss. I was doing it at midnight, was excited about it, but very tired and just wanted to finish. What size square punch did you use. I used the 1 and 1/4 punch. My card actually came out much larger than I usually make. How big was your finished project? It is so beautiful! TFS! Summer by the Sea is on my August shopping list!
