I created this card for Charles, a fellow Teapotter's husband. He recently had cancer surgery and is on the journey of recovery and wellness. He is a newbie Ham Radio operator. This hobby will quite possibly lead to communications and "travel" all over the world. The distressed Tim Holtz sentiment reads "the JOURNEY awakens the SOUL" which I thought was quite appropriate.
I flipped the 4.14.12, Unscripted Sketch #154 to accomodate my design.
Stamps: Several sets Tim Holtz, CTMH (#s)
Paper: Hobby Lobby base and kraft, Making Memories vintage kit (postage stamps/map/metal turns + brads)
Ink: Ranger tea dye, walnut stain, fired brick, Stazon black
Accessories: metal from kit, sponges for distressing, SU dimensionals, Tim Holtz ruler
NOTE: LOVE my Tim Holtz ruler. I measure all the edges to make sure my panels/layers are straight. The map on this card has a crooked "road" at the bottom so it looks like the panel is crooked but it is straight! Thanks Tim! Heehee! Truly, I think every papercrafter needs one!

This is gorgeous. My kind of color and my kind of stuff. I LOVE old stamps. People at work think I'm nuts because I open the mail and keep LOTS of stamps. This is cool.

What a great masculine vintage card. I so love the postage stamps. The map of the world if fantastic considering you never know who you might be in contact with over the ham radio.
