Both of these challenges were exactly that for me - challenges. I need to practice a lot more to achieve the look I would like with the magic masking for the technique challenge - I certainly like what others have done.
As for the TeaPot challenge - I know nothing about ham radios and did not seem to have anything that worked for a card, but I did find this embossed piece - a wishRAK friend sent me several. (I am not sure of the name, but there are robots!). I thought it was mechanical enough to use - and there is a wrench there LOL!!! Our destination is the husband of a fellow teapotter who is in need of some cheer. I used a technique from a previous week to add his initials (tone on tone faux embossing).
It will be fun looking through both of these galleries - not much time for a couple of days, however.

Oh Dorothy! Awesome! Your brought tools and alien ham radio operator instructors! I hear they are the best and what we have been doing clearly is not working! ha! hope these guys are patient in their teaching skills! This card rocks, I think the image is perfect and it will send a wonderful message to Charles, personalized so! You did good, for both challenges! Way to make the perfect card!! Whoot!
