Dawn - Interesting challenge BUT for some reason I don't think I'm quite "gettin" it? Dah but true! Last Mon. I began pariticpating in challenges, after being absent for over a month. Can I be "rusty" already? Haha! So ... I'm thinking 'Okay, fickle is a synonym for "woman" as in "unpredictably changeable (heehee!), so how do I translate that to a Valentine's card? Hmmmm.' WELL, since we are having our first "real" snow storm of the winter, I decided to make a card that combined two opposites--sunshine and snow/warmth and cold. Hope that kinda coincides w/the challenge?!?! Except maybe the Valentine's part. Unless of course, it happens to snow on Valentine's Day then I can stamp "Happy Valentine's Day" inside. Giggle.
De-bossed PTI card base w/Tim Holz snowflake folder (SU white kraft ink.) De-bossed Michael's white w/same folder (SU white kraft + night of navy), trimmed and cut in three pcs. Distressed edges w/night of navy. On PTI yellow, in Ranger Medium stamped sun, heat embossed w/fine gold powder. Distressed edges and face of sun w/Ranger wild honey. Mounted on Walmart black. Wrote sentiment "You are my Sun in winter's storm" on PTI yellow, distressed w/Ranger wild honey. Put card together according to sketch and added Making Memories antique brass, fancy filagree, square brads.
THANKS FOR LOOKING!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card. This is wonderful. The sentiment is so perfect and you really know how to ink the embossed bg to make it look great. Mine gets so messy. I love your sunshine too.
