This is my card for the Tuesday Teapotter's challenge this week and the Destination Station, here: Teapot Tuesday Destination Station - OLD INFO by Mothermark at Splitcoaststampers post #259 If you're making your card for Neil, Cindy's teapot is PERFECT as inspiration for a card for him. His faith is also very, very strong so if you want to include messages of prayer or scripture, he and his family will greatly appreciate it. Neil is being moved to a rehab hospital or ward where he will learn how to live as a quadrapalegic.
Although this is a racing bike (I think he rode a street bike) I'm sure he'll appreciate it. His bike was blue and I chose the sentiment as a testiment to his character and faith (please see the link above and watch the video - amazing and inspirational)
I printed my digi image from Doodle Pantry and coloured with my prismas and OMS - I looked at samples using the same image to figure out what should be coloured what - all those bits and pieces . . . ahhhhhh!
Ran a piece of silver metallic cs through the Clockworks ef. Used dtp method using black Staz On ink and rubbed it over the raised parts and it came out as you see (I cased the idea from here: Masculine Card by MargitsSchatztruhe at Splitcoaststampers ) Cut this embossed pc in half to create the split in the middle. I added 2 silvery pcs of metallic cs under my image layer. Attached my main image, after sponging the edges. Used alcohol ink to colour the screw brads a very dark blue. Cut a small pc of the lighter metallic silver cs and edged with the same colour of alcohol ink. Attached the sentiment to this after I sponged the edges. For my final touches, I added glossy accents to the windshield, front headlight and taillight.
I have mailed my card already because I want Neil to read mine first so this all makes sense to him. I have included a copy of the story and a picture of the teapot. TIA to everyone who sends Neil a card

Great idea to send Neil the story and pic of the teapot. NOW, he'll understand what this is all about! Love the EF with all the gears on it that you used for the BG. What a great card!!

Oh, Charlene, I love that you told us a little more about Neil in your post here - I love knowing more so I know what to write, and sometimes it is blindly and very hard to know what you can say!
Your card is fantastic!! the BG with the stazon-ed clockworks GEARS looks great and I love that you colored the bike blue like his was - your attention to detail is like the man you made the card for - AMAZING!! His spirit is so inspiring and I know he will love your card!!
