Quite an Inspiration site! After much window shopping, I chose Blue Bird Plate. I turned the blue bird into a cardinal and the round plate into an oval frame. I'm also adding this to the FC Gallery since my snow scene is weather!
All images are DRS Designs. For the oval snow scene, I picked a couple of oval dies for the pine green and top white layer and after cutting them, I penciled in the oval on the front of my 5.50 x 4.25 white card. I placed a reverse mask over the surrounding card front. Using torn edge strips for masks for the ground, I sponged in the sky and added a little blue for the snow.
used pine green and dk brown markers to ink the Pine Bough and stamped it on top of the scene. For the top layer, I used the same markers to ink the pine cones from the cardinal image and used a stamp positioner to place them. The cardinal and one pine cone were stamped on a separate piece, colored w/ markers and cut out. The sentiment only was stamped in the lower left. I added stickles on the branches for a little sparkle.

WOW, Julie.....this is a BEAUTIFUL card. Love your cardinal sitting in the pine tree and the sparkle that you added to the pinecone. All wonderfully done.

Stunning winter scene Julie! This bird is so beautiful and real looking the image just jumps off the card! Your background is fabulous, too...I can see the "snow" on those branches...outstanding!!

GORGEOUS scene you created Julie!!! LOVE the sentiment stamped right on the card! Even with a stamp positioner, that's always risky for me! LOL! Love your card!
