Here is a super simple technique and I really like the fun results, here is the tutorial by Julia S as we know her here at SCS and K Dunbrook's card inspired me to try the technique.
I did three drops of the Copic blending solution and the rest are with the Ranger blending solution for alcohol inks (this is what Karen used also), itÂ’s cheaper and works about the same. I also played a bit and did a test with regular alcohol and it worked okay withe Copic markers and then I tried Sharpie markers and alcohol and that worked also so youÂ’ve got some lead way with supplies in case you donÂ’t own Copics.
The butterflies were punched using two Martha Stewart punches and I embossed them using a metal ball stylus and folded paper towel for cushion. I score the wing line on the front, flip it over and emboss between the lines and the outer edge and also the center body. They are attached to the card with AleeneÂ’s tacky glue.
The sentiment panel was created with Spellbinder Petite Oval Nestabilities and a QuicKutz label die which I cut in half. I glued them together and to the card.
Oooooh WOW! Love this technique! Your bg is supurb and I LOVE the way you worked in the center of the panel, leaving the white border. Your card is like a matted painting - Creative and BEAUTIFUL!!!!
