I do remember Lou-la-bella; I was on holidays for that challenge and sorry to have missed such a fun one. I still have Marie-alice's amazing card in my favourites . I should have been away for this ladybird challenge too, only someone who shall remain nameless didn't renew his passport in time, so we're heading off this weekend instead.
This is seriously lacking in something, but I'm headachey and achy and it's taken over 4 hours just to produce this - it's not going to get any better!!
A2 base. I sponged some white card with Antique Linen and stamped a leaf over it in two shades of green. After experimenting with acrylic paint it turned out that gouache was a better option - the ladybirds are just created by dipping my finger in the paint and then on the paper, with black Enamel Accents added afterwards.
Image panel is Penny Black Lazy Daisies. I coloured them yellow for the teapot, and added Stickles in the centres. Distressed and sponged the edges and popped it up on foam.
It needed something - since even DH said the ribbon was a good possibility I went with that, adding a pin with some beads. I even managed to rustle up a black bugle bead to act as a cap. You can't see it, but I added tiny red dots of Liquid Pearls to the pin head after colouring it with a black Sharpie.
No goodies to bring along to the party this week as I'm trying to use up any perishables before our holiday.
