Congrats, Lydia! You're my hero! Always there for us and always keeping an eye out for the pesky problems. For this quick one, I picked Lydia's Paint Chip Notebook. I love paint chips even tho I didn't use one here. I kept the bright green but added a few more colors. Kept the apple but added the school image.
This could also be called "Lessons I (Re)Learned" and would have gone much faster if I hadn't had to discover them. Like...before you use your water brush on the green pencil cup, wipe the red from the apple off of it. I managed to lift most of the red, but geez, Louise! Oh and coloring white buttons. I do this all the time w/ Sharpies. I did this w/ the red button. Lesson learned? Don't use the heat gun on it. It makes a real pretty metallic-y shine to it, but that wasn't the look I was going for. I felt so stupid! I mean how long does a Sharpie take to dry? 3 seconds? But it seems I have the patience of a gnat. Finally, size does matter. When you use the Cricut to cut out the apple, a 5" apple is not going to fit on a 4.25 wide card.
Ok, so other than that, it's an easy card. All images are DRS Designs. I colored the image w/ markers and cut it out. The big apple and apple cut out were done w/ a Cricut machine. I added the lines bg on the green frame. The sentiment was split up to fit the space and after I die cut the circle out from it, I decided I liked the way it framed the circle so I attached it as is.
