Tuesday morning I woke up at 7:11 ( pretty late) and headed for the craft room to gather the supplies to make my tickle card. I had an handful of "stuff" when the phone rang and the night shift therapist was on the phone asking me if I knew that I was scheduled to work today. I NEVER work on Tuesdays... Sigh, a quick shower and short commute got me there 35 minutes later and 1 hour late to work. Being late earned me the ER assignment, not my usual ICU gig. Long story short, God had shuffled the deck a little so that I was able to pray with one family that I would otherwise not have met. Additionally I provided much needed expertise, education and emotional support to a man with terminal throat cancer and his family. I earned the gratitude of the patient, the nurse and the physician. Isn't the way that God works really cool?!? By the time my day was done I was exhausted, but printed a 40% Mikes coupon to buy the tulle that my brain decided that this card needed. This morning I couldn't find any of the things that I had gathered, including the numbers, so I started again from scratch. I realize that the tulle is a "little" over the top, but by the time that I was done with the card I was too annoyed with myself not to use it. This card can be a counting tool (2 ribbons, 2 ladies, 3 roses, 3 pearls, 3 hearts) or multiplication (2x2, 3 x 3). Colored the image with Copics and sponged, colored the roses with different red Copics then blended in with R000...other than that pretty straight forward. The page number in the upper right is my number. This also meets the monthly CT challenge. PT - 2
Thanks so much for looking and have a peaceful day.

WOW!! to your incredible story and to this Beautiful card!! I am so happy for you, that the day you normally do not work, was a blessing in disguise. Not only for you, but for those that you were able to help! Your story also makes me think of the Debbie Macomber book, "One Simple Act". I'm in the process of reading it and your story was so like the stories in that book.
I am glad that this card did finally come together, it is Beautiful!! I hope my Mom will see it while perusing the gallery, as it is one she will like. And she has that stamp. The tulle is perfect, I love using tulle for a nice airy effect.

your card is gorgeous. Tulle over the top? No way! I love the romantic feel of your card and the effects you have got with your copics (I totally suck at copic colouring and am totally in awe of anyone who can do it!). I also enjoyed your story too. I am so glad you were able to bring comfort to those distressed families.

No multiplication allowed, according to Cindy , but lots for us to count and add even if we stay in the shallow waters of simple addition . The tulle looks great, too!

Isn't it strange the way a problem sometimes works out to be a blessing in disguise - at least for the people you helped. I'm sure they will remember how kind and helpful you were in such a hard time. Marie, your card is so beautiful and I love each of your details from the tulle to the beautiful cameo. My Aunt gave me a cameo that belonged to her Mom (my sweet Grandma and it has not been set - it is still in the material it was carved from). My Grandma's aunt purchased it while on a trip to Italy and gave it to my Grandma when she was a little girl as a gift - so it's quite old and beautiful. I am taking it into the jewelry store this week-end to select a mount for it - so it can be used on a necklace or as a brooch.

Oh Marie your story brought tears to my eyes. You blessed them but they blessed you too. I can tell by your story. Your card is beautiful and I'm glad you found time to make it.
