This card is for the Teapot Tuesday challenge. This week is Tickle a Teapotter & last month it was evident that we need some counting lessons. Well, not me, but some of the others.
Our assignment is to bring a card with a number on it & something to count. ThatÂ’s at least 2 of the same thing so we donÂ’t get stuck at only counting to 1.
I’ve brought lots of numbers, nearly 42,000 of them. By the time you’re done with my card you’ll know your numbers backwards & forwards, up & down. I did my numbers in crayon colors, all warm & cheerful like. Hopefully that will make it fun. I added (are we allowed to add yet?) domino tiles (handmade-don’t look too closely) in a connecting pattern. Actually, if you count the dots on each domino you’ll find it corresponds to a number at the side. If you are ambitious (teacher’s pet) you can probably count all the dots but that will take some time ‘cuz I think there’s about 42,000 of those.

Too, too cute and clever, Vicki! I never did learn how to play dominoes. Maybe you could teach me how to play and count at the same time!!! Yeah, great idea! I'll bring the m&ms!!

Your dominoes look great to me - I have my mother's old ebony and ivory set and they look very like yours. Those counting circles are fun too. The way I learned simple math was with coloured blocks, each length a different colour (probably an early version of the Montessori style), so I was looking for your colours to be equal values .
