DS sent me some gorgeous handmade paper from a studio in the town where he is living in Japan. There is a paper festival each year and he thought that it would be a nice BD gift.
Stamped the Flourishes image in black and colored with Copics. The paper is like a very dense mulberry paper and the copics tended to bleed a bit more than I am used to and not all of the fibers take color...but it was a lot of fun playing! Matted with Bazzill textured CS and Bashful Blue. Ran copper paper through the CB EF and adhered the image. Paper pierced the butterfly trails, punched the butterflies and applied. Punched a MS eyelet border and added below the image. Tied a blue bow around all. Mounted on a Bashful card, stamped the sentiment in Marina punched and pierced some more trails. Added the tiny butterflies and placed on the card. Added the pearls and done.
Thanks so much for looking. Have a peaceful day.

Oh that is so pretty. I love the color and the accent of the pretty butterflies. How fun to get paper all the way from Japan. I read about some of the rituals used in history in Japan. It is so interesting. Enjoy your paper!!!

This is just lovely and the colors are gorgeous! The paper you stamped your image on almost looks like silk - what a wonderful card you made with this lovely image.

This has a real oriental look to me - I don't know if it's because of the non-standard paper you stamped on (love the look) or the textured layer, but it's certainly gorgeous.

Beautiful card! Your DS is one fantastic son! Oh my, I can't image my DS living that far away. He wants to move 9 hours away and I'm already sick just thinking about it!

Marz, my older sister is living in Japan right now too. She has about 3 more years. She's near Tokyo. Her DH is civil service there. WOW, this is a stunner. From the papers to the image and bow. Great work my punchie friend.
