This weeks Tea Party is going to get a little refinement after our night at the Roxbury! We're going to an Art Gallery. Not just any old gallery, but the fine art gallery of Winnifred Watts! May I call you Winnie?
Winnie's assistant, Teneal, really knows how to deal. You sure aren't going to find a "good steal".
But you will sure find a good deal
For all of this art is for real.
This week we are going to give some cheer to a very young lady (too young) dealing with ovarian cancer.
Haeli is 12 yrs. young and loves art. Thus all the framed cards.
This card is done using the faux pressed flower technique. I didn't glue down the top petals, as I wanted these to be raised and give a little more definition. I put these flowers in a blue hob nail vase with a few sprigs of greenery and buttons for the centers.
The vase is really quite easy to do. fold a scrap piece of c/s in half and cut according to whatever shape you desire. The flowers, leaves and vase are all adhered, then put into the dots ef. The black bg was cut out prior to embossing, which then fits into the frame after the embossing, thus the flowers are on top of the frame.
The black and white c/s has a nice woodgrain texture.
The vase was inked with a small make-up sponge applicator to highlight the hob nail.
Embroidery floss is threaded and knotted through the buttons, which are adhered for the flower centers.
Haeli, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!

This is GORGEOUS. The technique you used to make your card is soooo awesome. Love the way you have the flowers over lappong the frame and the way you made your vase. The flowers are so pretty and cheerful in sunny yellow. Haeli will love this.

Jennifer, I like all your cards this time, but like everyone else, this is my favorite. I think I also have the stamp you used in the card with the whole flower pot. Haven't used it for awhile. Is the boot from that border of boots stamp from Validated?
